'10 Minute Tip' by Matt Nixon - Adventure Challenge Junky - 8am until 10am

In his business career Matt Nixon worked for nearly 30 years in the golf industry. Matt was a PGA professional for 20 years coaching and managing at various venues in the UK, USA and Australia.

For the last ten years Matt has been working for Warwickshire Golf Union as their operations director as well as being involved in the World Deaf Golf Championships.

But none of that is Matt’s passion – Matt’s passion is adventure and personal challenges. In the last few years Matt has completed a 300km Husky Expedition across Norway, Finland and Sweden. Matt also finished a 100 mile ice skate down a frozen lake in Mongolia. Matt has also ascended mountains and ran several marathons.

Matt is also a Scout Leader and runs a travel agency with his wife Donna which is called “52 Degrees North Travel”.

Matt says “Adventure can be found just around the corner – you just have to look for it”. As you can see, Matt is always looking for adventure.
