Rebecca Raper is a robotics lecturer at Cranfield University, and course director for the robotics apprenticeship degree at MK:U.
Her research specialises in AI and Robot Ethics, including moral autonomy. She has worked as a consultant, project manager, social science researcher and manager within AI Ethics.
She is also author of the book: 'Raising Robots to be Good: a practical foray into the art and science of Machine Ethics'
Rebecca works really well with policy makers, systems integrators and business owners.

Alternative perspectives on Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence is frequently pitched as the solution to all humanity's problems: it will increase efficiency, help the economy grow and solve unemployment.
However, what if this isn't the case?
This presentation presents 'an alternative narrative' for Artificial Intelligence.
It will only lead to widen the gap between those with money and those without; it will drive mass unemployment and actually lead to decreased efficiencies.
Ultimately, it's important that when we assess the merits of Artificial Intelligence, we come with a balanced view.
It will present another perspective on Artificial Intelligence.
