Rich Kenny is the Group IT Director at Techbuyer where he leads the IT, QA and Digital teams alongside technical and research partnerships.
Rich is responsible for Innovation, systems design and sustainable business practice. Rich is a firm believer in the circular economy and sustainable solutions for IT hardware.
Techbuyer's research and development focus are hardware energy efficiency and the environmental and economic impacts of ICT hardware during creation, use and disposal.
In the last 9 months Rich has presented at Data Centre World Frankfurt, The Northern Intelligence Forums, NorthInvest and been interviewed by The Leadership Council of Great Britain and Ireland.
Rich has over a decade of experience in growing and developing business and has worked in the UK, Germany, France, USA, Nigeria and Tajikistan.
Previous roles include Operations Director, IT Security Manager, Head of Projects and Senior Digital Project Manager. Rich Kenny has been working in Project management since 2007 and IT/Digital/Security since 2009.
As a project manager Rich has worked for several high profile organisations such as Adam Smith International (Working with World Bank, DFID, PriceWaterhouseCooper),RFL Championship team York City Knights and UK Anti-Doping (working with the FA, RFL, RFU, IOC and UKA).
Rich is also a trustee on the board of directors for mental health social enterprise Claro Mental Health.
